Video rant about life and office politics.

If you know me, you know I don't play the politics game.

Because of that, someone in the office did not like me.

Granted this was a temporary position but I think it is suspect that just when they were going to try doing 4x10 shifts that I get sent back to the waterfront.

Oh well, when they start getting requests for photos and help with workbooks they will realize they shot themselfs in the foot.

Anyway, that is part of what I did not say in the video.

and now, on to the show.

Another temporary shed.

With the price of lumber and all the other things, I am doing another temporary shed.

Area cleared and gravel for a base.

The ground here is so rocky that it is nearly impossible to drive a fence post.

Bent like a horseshoe.

That end is destroyed.

I wound up digging a hole for one of the posts but managed to get it up and anchored.

I have the side walls on order.

They are supposed to be here today but probably too late for me to put them on today.

It will hopefully work until I can afford the lumber to build a better shed.

I have a 2x4 shed kit.  The wood for a 7' x 8' shed will run me around $300.

that is just the wood.  Hardware, roofing, paint will all be more.

Hence the 'tent'.

That's enough for now,

Back yard Clearing.

I have been working on clearing a part of the back yard ever since I put the Packard in it's shed.

Here is what it looked like when I first started.

and here is what it looks like today

Same area photographed from a bit further back.

Still work to be done but progress has been made.

Sprinkler system electrical

I am in the process of getting the in ground sprinkler system back in operation.

(At least the 2 legs that worked before.  the other 2 legs are beyond help.)

The liquid portion is fixed now I just need to finish the electrical.

I still need to run the wire.

The old wire I had temporarily hooked up is too short for the conduit.

I will have to add some more from the spool.

(I have to find what I did with it.)

Once that is done, I can let the controller inside the house run them.

I can run the sprinklers late at night when it will do the most good.

New (to me) car.

It has been some time since I posted on here.

Mostly, I have been on Twitch and Facebook with some video posts to Youtube.

Today, I purchased a new (to me) car.

a 2006 Toyota Prius.

I decided that since the Altima was only getting 23 MPG and was starting to need some work that is was time to upgrade.

But don't fret, the Altima went to a good home.

My ex-mechanic friend of mine needed a vehicle that gets better than 6 MPG.

And he has no problem doing the repairs that I just did not want to tackle.

So he got the Altima (it had basically no trade-in value) and I got a Prius.

Here are some pics of it:

Drove it 83 miles home and on the freeway (mostly) it got an average of 54 MPG.  Far better than the Altima.

People may make fun of the Prius but they are good cars.

And 54 MPG is not too shabby.

Oh and I got it for under $10K.
