Alder Chair build Part 3.

I got the final section of the seat in the gluing clamps.  I also got the center planed smooth.  I test fit the center and front pieces and joint planed them by hand.  (Wanted to see if I could do it 'old school' and make it fit.)  I only have a small amount of room in the shop so just gluing one piece at a time.

I have to say, the more I work with this Alder the more I like it.  It has such a nice fine grain and is a joy to work with.

Here are the pics:
Center section glued.

It's a little off, time to plane it.

After a couple of passes over the planer.

Back section ready for glue.

Front and center glue joint ready to planing.

Planing it 'Old School' with a Victor version of a Stanley #4
