Earthmaster Tractor Brakes.

Well, the left side brakes on the Earthmaster tractor are connected.  Went to all the trouble and expense to obtain/manufacture the parts only to find out that the left side is totally worn out.  I just  started it up to test them.  Plenty of pedal but very, very little function.  I don't know if the pads are totally gone or just packed full of greasy gunk.  Base on what I can see from the linkage hole I would guess they are full of gunk but that does not mean that they are not worn out as well.

As for the linkage, I ordered the saddle ends from Dover brake Inc.: http://www.doverbrakeinc.com/
Got the pins from Lowes.
Unfortunately, Lowes did not have any 5/16 x 24 threaded stock so I had to buy some 5/16 round stock and custom thread it myself.

As changing/fixing the brakes requires complete disassembly of the rear end I am not in any hurry to take that on.

Here are the pics:
Starting the thread.

Looks like it is deep enough.

The saddle fits.

All connected finally.
