Little light yard work

So the sun was out today and I decided to work on the foundation for the windmill.

I finished building the form for the concrete,

placed it so that the corners point to the cardinal points,

dug out the spot,

placed and leveled the form,

put a thin layer of gravel on the bottom.

Here is a pick of the form ready for fill rock and concrete.

I will add rock to both add strength and take up space so I use less concrete when I pour it.

Still have to assemble the base of the windmill and make the anchor system for it.

I am thinking of some angle iron welded in a square with the bolts in it for an anchor system.

the angle iron will be set in the concrete with only the bolts protruding.

If I do that I know I will not have to worry about the windmill being blown over.
