Windmill base

I finished the base for the windmill today.

I used a pair of u-bolts to create anchors for it.

I did have one 'Ah Crap' moment when I was mixing and pouring the cement.

I realized I had miscalculated the amount of Quikrete I would need and was 2 bags short.

I had one old bag that had gotten wet, so I busted it up and put it in with more rocks.

Then I ran back to town real fast and got another bag of Quikrete.

Luckily, what I had already poured was not set yet so I was able to finish with no problems.

Here is the finished base.

I had the decorative pieces laying around and decided they would look good on the base.

I pressed them into the cement so they should be permanent.

We will see how it looks when it dries.
