Ferguson tractor counter balance

Finally figured out how to make the counter weight for the Ferguson.

With the bucket on the front and no weight on the back it was seriously out of balance with all the weight up front.

I had the tub from an old cheap cement mixer that had broken.
I drilled a couple of holes and inserted three point pins.
Welded a piece of old fence post between them.
Then I built a piece for the third point and welded it to the fence post in the center.

Not the best welding I have done but it should hold.
I then had to make some anti-sway chains for it.
Hooked it up to the hitch.
Then filled it with bricks till I get some concrete to fill it permanent.

The third link hits in the full up position.
With the tub full of bricks the tractor knows there is some weight back there.
It feels a lot more stable now with the weight in the back to counter the weight of the bucket.
It backs up a lot better now too.  No more tire slip.
Filling it with concrete will make it heavier but will take the weight off the plastic drum as the post in the center will be buried in the cement.
It should be good for now as long as I don't bounce it around too much.  Not sure how much punishment that plastic drum will take.
