I got a belated birthday present today.
The day after my birthday I got a call from Seattle Cycle Center that my wheel had finally come in.
I went over an picked it up today.
I did not get any pics of the new one as I was rushing the rain to get it installed.
Roughly $300 and three months later and the scooter is back up and running.
Of course, now the weather is not fit to ride in, but at least I can ride now if it turns nice.
All because there is a miss print in the service manual giving the wrong torque specs in the reassembly instructions for the back wheel.
I think that the previous owner used the same manual and that is why it was not properly torqued and let it wobble loose.
At least I choose to blame the bad info in the manual instead of assuming incompetence on the part of the previous owner.
