For any of my followers who might be into ham radio,
I just got my 2 meter rig up and running.
I mostly monitor the WW7RA repeater but will come up on any frequency in the 2 meter (144 mhz) range if asked.
Not sure how good a signal I will have as I currently can not find my SWR meter to check my antenna performance.
I do know that I seem to pick up a fair amount of noise but that could just be the area I am in and the fact that my antenna is not very high.
If you want to call my my call sign is:
KD7RNV
I'm also looking into upgrading my base to a dual channel model.
My new handheld can do the 70 cm band (440 mhz).
But as money is tight and I have several other projects going on that is low on the priority list.
A new SWR meter comes first.
