Antique engine carb work

After seeing that the engine had spark I set it back out in the shed to drain the old oil.

Now to disassemble the carb.

Sediment bowl removed.

Very dirty.

Look at the crud in the sediment bowl.

Screen is badly clogged.

When you cant find the right gasket why not use part of an old bicycle inner tube.

Float bowl is nasty.

Main jet, needs a good cleaning.

A little dinged from removing it but still serviceable.

Main jet needle.  Needs a good cleaning.

Oh Oh, float has a leak.

Float, Float pin, and gasket are all destroyed.

That float is done.
I need to get another can of carb soak as the one I have is no good.
I also have to border a carb kit and a new float and pin as the float is ruined and the pin broke in removal.

May be a bit before I get the parts.
