Been a couple of weeks since I posted.
Not much going on.
I have adopted my coworker and her family.
She is like a sister and I am the crazy older uncle.
Been spoiling them.
I love it.
Two weeks ago I won a couple of things in an online estate auction.
when I got there, they were trying to sell all the stuff that did not sell at auction.
I was able to purchase a large box full of cords and parts as well as a Hygain antenna rotator.
2 brand new extension cords in the box paid for the whole lot.
Last week I got the call that the bike parts I ordered back in June were finally in.
Saturday, I went to Hamfest.
I was able to purchase the controller for the antenna rotator I got at the auction.
So for basically $40, ( the cost of the controller) I got a fully functional antenna rotator worth a couple of hundred dollars. Nice score.
Hygain 'Tailtwister' antenna rotator. Older but works perfectly. Temp setup for testing. I also have the lower pole mount. |
Here is an ad for a new one. |
After Hamfest, I went over to Seattle and picked up the parts for the bike.
Yesterday, I finished the hats and scarfs I was crocheting for my coworkers family.
Was gonna wait till Christmas but because the weather is getting cold and they needed them I took them over last night.
I had also purchased each person their favorite kind of candy as a treat.
The smiles and laughter were off the scale.
It felt wonderful.
Today, I reassembled the bike.
Took it out for a short test drive and it seems to be working great.
I doubt I will be doing much riding till next year but at least it is running again.
Now to take it easy for the remainder of my long weekend.
Be safe.
