Crazy weather and broken appliances

Been a week of crazy weather.

Had to miss 2 days of work due to snow and bad roads.

A foot of snow on top of ice.  Not fun.

Then on Friday the furnace started acting up.
May have been the old thermostat, the sequencer in the furnace, or both.

Ordered a contactor to replace the sequencer with as I am tired of replacing the sequencer every couple of months.

Also replaced the old thermostat with a Nest thermostat.

That will work a lot better.

Then, to add to the mix, the (dinosaur) microwave started to go out.
Steven bought the house a new one.

Even bigger than the old one and more powerful but weighs about 1/3 less.

The old microwave was a Kenmore from the early 90's that had been fixed twice.
Like I said, it was a dinosaur.
I used it for over 10 years though and considering I got it for free I would say it was a good one.

I still have the contactor for the furnace on order and will install it when it gets here.
Furnace is working for now.
Keeping my fingers crossed that it keeps working till the part comes in.

I hope that is the last of the bad things for this year.
I've had my three.

Ok, be safe all.
