Wood Splitter pt2.

Hard a bit of sunshine so I decided to move the wood splitter out and try it.

First try was without the stand.
Worked good.
Took me about 10 min to split a barrow full.
That amount took me over an hour by hand and I felt dead afterwards.

Sitting was inconvenient so I decided to put the stand on it.

Much easier and more convenient.

That is about the largest log I had in the stack.
It is a little over the listed max but split just fine.
I have seen videos of people splitting larger on it but I would not recommend it.
The splitter requires 2 hands on the controls to operate.
I am sure that is done for safety reasons.
As I was putting it away (due to rain moving in) I did have a failure on one wheel.
The cotter pins they supply are garbage.
I could not find another pin (I know I have a whole box somewhere)
so I put a redneck pin in it.

A small nail bent over.
Rednecks and country boys been doing that for ages.
And it works.

Stay safe Y'all.
