Those tires are darned heavy!
I got the tire off the Gibson and put it on the Earthmaster today to replace the blown out wheel.
I put the original antique wheel back on the Gibson for safety. |
Up in the air and read to remove. |
The lugs were a little stuck. Had to use a cheater bar.
It's off finally. |
Old tire and new tire. |
Got the Earthmaster dish out. |
Now to put this in the new wheel |
It's in. |
The new tire was mounted with the valve stem on the inside.
This would have hit the hub in the narrow track configuration.
So I had to 'Dish' the wheel by mounting it with the dish facing out.
This puts the tractor in a wide track configuration.
It's mounted. |
Wide 'Dished" setting |
Narrow 'Non-dished' setting |
I swapped the other tire to the wide track setting so they would be even.
Wide track. |
It's ready to work again. |
That was hard work.
Now only the left side is ballasted but I can deal with that later.
I think it is time for a break.
Y'all stay safe.
