Homemade door

 Decided I was tired of the cold draft from the back mudroom.

Got off my backside and finished the homemade door for it.

got the sheeting on one side.

Parts to install the cat door.

Cat door is done.

Trim to fit.

Propped in the hole

Hinges installed.

Decided to reuse an old school lock set.

Had to install the lock upside down because of the door opening backwards.
Wasn't planning on locking it anyways.

Inside of door.  The latch works.

 Still need to install trim to stop the door from closing too far.

will install insulation and an outer layer of sheeting later.

Also gonna look into some kind of veneer to make it look better.

Enough for now.  It works and has drastically cut down on the cold draft.

I'm bushed.  

Gonna sit on my backside the rest of the day.
