Warehouse workers not reading invoices.

So the other day I ordered a benchtop lathe on Amazon.
This is what I ordered:

  • WEN 3420 8" by 12" Variable Speed Benchtop Wood Lathe

  • WEN

WEN 3420 8" by 12" Variable Speed Benchtop Wood Lathe

So it arrived today and this is what I got:
Shipping label Says Wood Lathe.  That is correct.

Oh, Oh.  Box says Scroll Saw.

Yep, those are Scroll Saw instructions.

Yep, that is a Scroll Saw, Not a Wood Lathe.

I guess the guy who picked this off the shelf and shipped it has a problem with reading the actual invoice! I am very not happy about this. I already sent in a return and replacement request through Amazon but now I have to wait 48 hours for a reply. I can understand if the person shipping the items is not a wood worker and does not know the difference between these two items but I would expect them to actually read the invoice and the box to ensure they are shipping the correct item.

I purchased a protection plan for the lathe and if they just refund my money I will have to request a refund for that too as it is separate from the lathe order.

I have to wonder if the worker was just lazy and grabbed the first thing on the shelf, is illiterate, or is an English as a second language individual who has trouble reading English printing.

I was jazzed when I seen the box on the porch. Now I'm pissed. I need the lathe for my Aldar stool project. Now I have to wait even longer.
      😡
