OUCH!

Just got stung by a yellowjacket!

Was looking at where the nest was before I left.  Something had dug a hole down to it and looked like part of it was gone.

Did not see any flying around when I went to look.

As soon as I shown my flashlight into the hole they woke up and one got me.

Ran in the house, washed off the area to make sure it had not marked me.

Got some sting relief out of the first aid kit.

As I was getting set to apply it I realized one had hitched a ride inside on my hat.

All I had was ant spray.

Sprayed the wasp with it.

It seemed to kill him, to make sure I smashed it with a shoe and flushed it down the toilet.

Gonna have to wait for cold weather to get rid of the nest.

It is large and very much alive.

Hope whatever was after them before (Probably a Raccoon) will come back and finish the job.
