I got the new carb for the Ferguson TO-35 yesterday.
I got it installed without too much headache.
Started the tractor and it ran great.
Today, I went out to start clearing the brush with the ferguson.
When I went to start it up,
The throttle linkage broke!
This is supposed to connect |
This (where it broke) |
To this (the round thing) |
Because this is a very hard to find part,
and I want to get the brush cleared,
I improvised (rednecked) a solution.
This old handle |
Had the right threads and size to fit the connector end. |
This lets me operate the throttle until I can figure out how to repair the throttle operating handle.
I will try to get video of the brush clearing and post it later.
Like Red Green says:
If they don't find you handsome,
they should at least find you handy!
Y'all stay safe.
