After last weekends hard work I took it easy this weekend.
Made a dump run and got rid of all the debris from last weekend.
Gathered up some more recycle wood and built another adirondack chair.
Had to sand all the wood as it was very wethered and dirty. |
This one is for use out by the fire pit as it is cedar and treated lumber and can weather the outdoors better than the other 2.
It is on the porch till the burn ban is lifted though.
Then today (Sun) I scored a load of recycle lumber for free off craigs list.
From loading/unloading it I know there is good wood in there.
I may have enough now for a couple more chairs.
It all needs cleaned/sorted/de-nailed and trimmed but I can do all that as long as the weather stays nice.
Lastly, I started cleaning out one of the sheds that has not been touched in years.
Planning on using it for storage of the reclaimed lumber.
This is after several hours of cleaning.
Could not get past the doorway before.
I am also struggling with a new diet.
Found out I am diabetic.
Have to try and alter a lifetimes worth of eating habits.
I already hate it.
They say I need to do this to improve my health and live longer.
But if it makes me miserable all the time is that really living?
And if I am miserable, why would I want it to last longer?
This may be harder than quitting smoking and quitting drinking combined!
Wish me luck, Pray for me, Send me good karma,
whatever you believe in, I need all the help I can get!
Y'all stay safe.
Hang in there son you can do this just ask God for help and guidance. Love you. By the way the chairs look great.
